Job Description
Machine Operator 
2nd shift 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
3rd shift: 10:45 PM – 6:15 AM
  1. Job Summary:

         Machine Operator has the ability to operate and monitor machine functions; perform minor off-set adjustments; and                     distinguishes tooling and part numbers.  Records production output and charts process control data.  May change tooling as needed.

  1. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To operate CNC machining center
  • To verify parts in accordance with established instructions
  • For the handling, and quantity of parts at their work center.
  • To notify Operations Manage of any suspected problems with the machine
  • To verify count of parts received and number of parts processed.
  • For the documentation of the operation.
  • To notify the department lead/supervisor of any suspected unsafe conditions.
Job Requirements
Skills and/or Experience Needed:
  • 1 year experience in operating CNC machining centers or similar equipment  
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Use of standard measuring equipment (Micrometers, Calipers, Optical Comparator, Pin Gages, etc.)
  • Must be able to write clearly.
Language Skills:
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to follow instructions and perform necessary duties.
  • Must be able to verify work completed is per instructions given.
Additional Skills and Experience preferred (Not Required):
  • Some experience with hand tools.
Physical Demands:
  • While performing duties of this position, the employee is required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, stretch, speak and/or listen.
  • May occasionally be required to lift maximum of 20 lbs.
  • May occasionally be required to work irregular and/or extended hours.
  • This position may use a computer to access, input, and retrieve data.
  • May be subjected to occasional irregular or extended work hours.
  • Must be able to work in an environment that may be subject to occasional loud noises, hazardous materials and chemicals.
